Saeki nodded in agreement with Prince Fuji. “If we go there now, your food will be cold. Don’t worry I’ll fend off the scary people away.” He grinned confidently at the young prince hoping it would make him comfortable at least.
“Hmm…?” Shifting his attention to the other prince question. Saeki checks if there are any events that needs their presence…and there is one. “I would be lying if I say there isn’t but there is the dance event. Would you like me to be your stand in for both our kingdoms?” he suggested.
Rin looked between the two older male’s and nodded his head in compliance. He guessed he could eat first before they made their way back to the garden. He started to slowly start to dig into his food, feeling very guilty at having to cause so much trouble for the two older princes.
“I’m sorry… for causing so much fuss..” he apologized quietly.
Fuji shook his head, his voice hushed so Rin could not hear him, “I’ll go as well, you’ve already done so much for us…we just have to find a way to convince Rin so he’ll stay in the garden when we take him there.” Fuji looked over at Rin who was innocently eating his food, his eyes softening at the sight. Rin always gave people the feeling that they want to protect him. Fuji hated lying to him but he had to, he had a duty as a prince but also as Rin’s brother. He had to show his presence at the ball but he was not going to put Rin through that. “I’ll think of something…”
Saeki could feel the older prince’s worries, it also feels someone needs to comfort him as well. He extends his left hand to pat Prince Fuji’s head comfortingly treating him like a child. “There, there. You think too much, let’s eat for the mean time then solve the problem after ne.” Forking bits of his meal and starts eating.
